Due to the fact that there are only 3 weekends left before the holiday deadline, I have had to turn some customers away who needed weekend slots because I’m pretty booked up. Well, I’ve had a cancellation for Saturday afternoon (Nov 4th), so anyone who wants to take this slot, email me asap so I can get your information. Email address is HollyErwinPhotography@yahoo.com and phone is 225-686-1291.  There is also one left available for Saturday November 18th at 3pm.

Here are a few recent shots from various sessions that have taken place in the last few weeks.

A couple of recent shoots

October 10, 2006

I did a session for a fellow photographer’s (Robin Depaula) son. He is only 9 years old and is the most well behaved and mature 9 year old boy I’ve ever met. He was extremely cooperative for me and was easy to guide. Here are a couple favs of mine and his mom’s.

Later in the week, I had a high school senior. Guys at this age challenge my creativity, which I love, it keeps me on my toes.

Most people who know me have heard me say a thousand times that I would never shoot weddings. Well, after months of consideration, I’m taking the plunge and will begin photographing weddings. I’ve had requests for weddings every week for the last year and I’ve either turned them down or referred them to a fellow photographer who does weddings very often. I started feeling like I was missing out on something, maybe I can make this as special as the portraiture that I live for? Weddings are so full of emotion, one of a kind moments, and memories…….. WELL, isn’t that why I love photographing children? Yes, it is.  So, here I am, announcing something that I swore I’d never do. Look for the info on my site, as the first few weddings will be discounted to help build a portfolio. I’m completely committed to this. I’m the type of person, that when I say I’m going to do something, I dive in full force. Here I go, jumping off the deep end :)

I had a couple sessions today and while I had everything setup, I figured I’d try to get a few shots of my own kids, LOL. They are my toughest subjects to say the least. This is what happens when I tell my youngest son to keep his eyes open……..

Then I tried to get one shot of my two boys together, and this is what I get, they look thrilled don’t they?

Finally I got a good one of my youngest son. Tomorrow I have to work with my older one. Darnit, I’m going to get some frameworthy pics of them eventually. :)

Then it was down to business. Most clients say that their kids behave better for me than for them. Isn’t that always the case? Here are a couple from a 13 year old girl from this morning.

My second session today was for a child of another photographer. She has the same frustration with her son so she hired me. He was very cooperative as expected, lol. I haven’t proofed them yet, but will show some soon.
