Spring has sprung :)

Spring is now in full swing. The weather is beautiful, everything is green again and flowers are in full bloom. I did an engagement session at the state capitol grounds this morning utilizing these beautiful colors of Spring. While I’m not ready to share those, here are a few outtakes from today. Some are from the capitol grounds and some are just outside my house. I love this time of year.

While proofing a session from Friday, I came across this image. This is sort of an outtake as the brother and sister were throwing sticks in the pond and forgot I was even there.  For me, this image speaks volumes! It’s absolutely beautiful but doesn’t really fall into the standard style of portrait photography (but I guess neither do I?). For me, this is more art. What do you think?

12 days old

I’m proofing a session I did for a baby only 12 days old. I love this young age so much, and it’s very important to capture the newborn look before it quickly changes. Some people wait till several months before having baby’s picture taken, but you miss so much during that time. Here are a few from this session. I’m only halfway done so there will be more to come.
