Who needs a fork?
November 12, 2009
Who doesn’t love a good cake, and what better place to find the most beautiful and creative cakes than at a wedding. At every wedding I photograph, I always make sure to get lots of pictures of all the details that goes into the decor such as the flowers, the cake, the centerpieces, etc. I’d like to share a few of the most recent ones. Warning though, if you have a sweet tooth, you may be running to a bakery shortly after viewing these.

Yes, I know I need to keep up with my blog better. I just get so busy sometimes, but I’d love to share a few from a recent wedding. All had a great time and I hope their images help them to always remember their most special day. I still have some openings for the Spring of 2010, so contact hollyerwinphotography@yahoo.com if you are interesting in retaining your date.

Coffee Table Wedding Book
August 20, 2009
The coffee table style wedding album is becoming increasingly popular among wedding clients. I design each page myself so that the book tells the story of the wedding day. I just recently designed one and I am sharing a few spreads so that you can get a better idea of how it works. I also have samples of these books to show for those of you that would like to schedule an in person meeting with me. These books are designed as a 10×10 hardcover, and 7×7 hardcover for parent albums.

Here are some images from my most recent wedding. I love outdoor weddings as they offer such beautiful natural lighting and soft colorings. Congratulations Lacey and Jake!

Build your own wedding package
May 28, 2009
Let’s face it, the economy is in the can. Everyone I know is feeling the pinch in one way or another. For many couples planning a wedding, things are having to be scaled down to stay within their budget. Due to the popularity of my previous promotion, I decided to change my pricing structure in a way that would make it easier and more affordable for couples to get just what they want and need for their wedding day and pay for nothing they don’t. So now, I no longer have actual packages put together, but rather a list of options to create your own package. Each one starts with a base of 3 hours of wedding coverage and you then add from there what you need (extra hours, bridal/engagement session, albums, etc.). All “hours” include the digital files with copyright release. For those with strict budgets, choosing only coverage hours may be the way to go since you would then own the digital files and rights to your images which you can print yourself at the lab of your choice. For those with a little more budget room, you may choose the additional add-ons of coffee table books or other albums. Most details can be found at http://www.hollyerwinphotography.com
Fun in downtown Ponchatoula!
May 7, 2009
The wedding of Vic and Heather was one of the most fun I’ve had this year. The stroll through downtown Ponchatoula, LA before the wedding provided some images that I hope the two of them will appreciate forever. In non-traditional fashion, the entire wedding party and some family members joined us as we make some stops at the couple’s favorite bar and captured some images in some beautiful spots representing the area well. As a photographer, it offered up some opportunities out of the ordinary and I do wish more couples would open up to things like this. Here are just a few images to share for now and I’m still proofing the wedding. I know Heather is anxiously waiting to see some of these while on her honeymoon. Hope yall are enjoying your trip! You were a pleasure to work with.

Little Livian
May 1, 2009
Here are some recent newborn images of this beautiful baby girl, Livian. I always urge parents to make sure not to wait past a couple weeks to have their newborn sessions, you don’t want to miss this look. I’ll be shooting a wedding tonight in Ponchatoula, can’t wait to show some of those, it sounds like it’s going to be fun.
